Add Comment Local Band The Wonder Villians part of Sons and Daughters Concert Line up in January 201301/25/2013 Local Derry Pop band The Wonder Villains chat to Mark O'Reilly on Sunday about them performing for the Sons and Daughters concert for City of Culture and express their excitement seeing some of the stars at the event including Amanda Burton as they love her from Waterloo Road. Also Girls Aloud Star Nadine Coyle performed at Sunday nights event and were delighted to be asked to be part of this major event which was broadcast on BBC NI Television and Radio. We asked the band what does 2013 hold for the band and they says this was their first gig of 2013 and look forward to the years events and we will probably see them perform at more events for the City of Culture 2013.. Go to www.vibelocalradio.com This Sunday 20th January 2013 The live City of Culture event Sons & Daughters will take place in the Venue which is the new purpose-built pavilion at Ebrington, which is supported by Derry City Council. The Big Line-up features various local celebrities which hil Coulter, The Undertones, Paul Brady, Damian McGinty, Gerard McChrystal, Amanda Burton, Dana, The Priests, Eva Birthistle, James Nesbitt, Codetta and Girls Aloud's Nadine Coyle, Gary Lightbody and Johnny McDaid from Snow Patrol playing acoustic, and Neil Hannon complete the line-up for Sons & Daughters –the opening concert for the Derry~Londonderry City of Culture 2013. Sons & Daughters will be recorded for BBC Northern Ireland television and broadcast live on the night on BBC Radio Ulster, presented by Marie-Louise Muir, from 7.30pm. All complimentary tickets for the Sons & Daughters concert, which were issued through a random draw, have now been allocated.Doors open at 6.30pm and the concert will begin at 7.45pm.Peter Johnston, Director BBC Northern Ireland, said: “In what looks set to be a memorable year, we are very excited to be part of Sons and Daughters as the opening concert to mark the start of Derry~LondonderryUK City of Culture.
